WW1 K.I.A 11th Manchesters with V.C connection

Single victory medal awarded to 303110 Pte William Wallace MACDONALD , Manchester Regiment who was killed on 4/10/17 at the battle of Broodseinde , near Poelcappelle, Ypres.
It was at this battle that Sgt Harry COVERDALE of the 11th Manchester Regiment won a V.C.
MACDONALD is commemorated at the Tyne Cot memorial, he came from Braemar Road, Fallowfield, Manchester.
